The Programme

 Course participants should arrive at the Château de Celon on Saturday  20th  July 2024 from 4 - 5.30pm.

The course ends on Saturday 27nd July at  9.30am.

The number of participants is limited.

There is no upper or lower age limit for participants; students aged under 16 may be accompanied by an adult; students aged 16 or 17 must provide evidence of parental consent.

Course requirements: this course is for classical guitarists with at least four- five   years’ practice.

Tuition will focus on interpretation, on technique,  and  on preparing students for examinations, or for performances.

The course comprises :

  • 4-5 one-to-one classes

  • a daily class of large ensemble 

  • chamber music

  • masterclasse

  • talks on guitar topics

  • technical workshops (guitarobics)

  •  concerts by participants

  • luthier Lecture &yoga

  • 'Les nuits de la Guitare' a series of evening concerts.

Conditions

Participants must provide evidence of a personal insurance policy including civil liability cover.

For participants under 18 years of age, a letter of parental permission and liability waiver is required along with a certificate of school insurance covering extra-curricular activities. 'Guitare en France' cannot be held liable for any damage or injury to participants or for any loss or damage to musical instruments or personal effects.

'Guitare en France’ reserves the right to cancel the course in the event of circumstances beyond the control of the organisers, whereupon deposits will be returned.

 Participants staying in the château take part in a rota to set the tables, serve meals and wash the dishes (dishwasher).Each team of three is on duty twice.
